Privacy policy

Meeting Cue collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores nothing from your meetings. Everything below is the detail behind that sentence.

What the app does with your words

Meeting Cue listens through your device's microphone, transcribes what it hears, searches the documents you have imported, and writes suggestions. All four of those happen on the device itself — the speech model, the document index and the language model that writes the suggestions are all local.

Audio, the transcript, your meeting notes, the documents you import and the suggestions generated from them are held in memory for the duration of a session. They are never written to disk, and ending the session erases them. Closing the app, or the system reclaiming it, has the same effect.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, and no third-party SDK that performs any of those on our behalf. The app makes no network request in the course of doing its job, and it works with the network switched off.

What is saved on your device

Two things, both yours and both local:

• Your settings — which speech engine and which AI engine you have chosen, and the interface options.
• Your role description — the few lines telling the app who you are and how you like to sound, which persist between meetings so you do not retype them.

Both live in the app's own storage on your device, are covered by the device's own encryption, and are removed when you delete the app. Neither is transmitted anywhere.

Documents you import

A document you add is read, indexed into passages in memory, and used to answer what is being said in the room. The original file stays wherever you keep it; Meeting Cue does not copy it into its own storage, and the index is discarded with the rest of the session.

Subscriptions

Meeting Cue Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the purchase, the renewal and any refund; we receive Apple's aggregate sales reporting and never learn who bought it. We do not receive your name, your email address, your Apple Account or your payment details, and there is nothing in the app that could associate a purchase with a person.

Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Recording other people

This is the one obligation the app cannot discharge for you. Laws about recording or transcribing a conversation differ by country and by state, and some require the consent of everyone present. Telling the room you are using Meeting Cue is your responsibility. The app displays that it is listening, but it cannot know what the law is where you are sitting.

Children

Meeting Cue is a tool for working meetings and is not directed at children. Because it collects nothing at all, it holds no information about anyone of any age.

If you contact support

Support is the one place where you can choose to give us something, and it is entirely separate from the app. What we keep when you raise a case — and how the anonymous path works — is set out in the website privacy notice. The app never sends a support request on your behalf.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, and under the GDPR and similar regimes if you are covered by them, you have rights to access, correct and erase personal information an organisation holds about you. In this app's case those rights have nothing to attach to, because we hold nothing about you. If you have raised a support case and want it erased, quote the case number through the support form and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Meeting Cue offers an engine that is not on-device, this policy changes in the same release that introduces it, the app tells you before you can use it, and the claim above is rewritten rather than softened. The version and date at the top of this page are the record.
