Getting suggestions in a meeting, on the device.
Meeting Cue listens to the meeting, searches the documents you brought, and puts the next thing worth saying on screen. All of it on the iPhone or iPad. This page is what it needs, how to set it up, and what to do when it is quiet.
What it needs
The transcript and the document search run on any iPhone or iPad the app installs on. The suggestions need three things at once: iOS 26 or later, a device that supports Apple Intelligence, and Apple Intelligence switched on in Settings. Below that bar you get the transcript and the search, and no suggestions. The Settings screen inside the app says which of the three is missing, in words.
It needs the microphone, and permission to use it. Audio stays on the device and is never written to disk. It understands English only.
Before the meeting
- Import the documents the meeting is about: the spec, the contract, the runbook. They are held in memory for the session and gone when it ends.
- Tell it your role: business analyst, delivery lead, contract lawyer. The suggestions are written in that voice.
- Tell the room. The app asks you to. Recording and transcription law differs by country and state, and consent is yours to get.
The three transcription modes
- Hybrid uses the app's own engine and Apple's together. The middle setting, and the default.
- Fastest uses Apple's engine alone.
- Most accurate uses the app's own engine alone, which is slower.
If the transcript is lagging, move towards Fastest; if it is mishearing, move towards Most accurate.
Questions
The things people ask.
Why are there no suggestions?
Almost always because the device does not meet the bar for them: iOS 26 or later, Apple Intelligence supported, and Apple Intelligence switched on. The transcript and document search still work below it. Open the app's Settings screen; it states which of the three is missing.
Does Meeting Cue record the meeting?
No. It listens, transcribes as people talk, and keeps nothing. Audio, transcript, suggestions and the documents you imported are held in memory for the session and erased when it ends. Nothing from a meeting is ever written to disk.
Where did my transcript go?
It was never saved. That is the design, and it surprises people: there is no history and no after-the-fact record. If you need minutes, take them.
Does anything leave the device?
No meeting content does. Speech recognition, document search and the suggestions all run on the device, and in normal use the app makes no outbound connection at all. The subscription is handled by Apple, as for any app.
Does it understand languages other than English?
No. Speech recognition is set to English, and the bundled speech model is an English-only one.
Is it a subscription?
Yes. The first week is free, and after that Meeting Cue Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription through Apple. The price for your country is shown in the app before you buy, and you cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings, not with us.
Do I have to tell people I am using it?
Yes. The app asks you to tell the room. Whether a meeting may be transcribed, and who has to agree, differs by country and state, and getting that consent is your responsibility.
