Convert Markdown to PDF on an iPhone or iPad.
The version nobody should change. A PDF from your Markdown, with an outline to navigate by, made on the phone.
The steps
- Add the file. Bindery opens the system document picker, so
you can pick a
.mdfile from Files, iCloud Drive, or any other provider your phone shows there. Add several and they are joined, in the order you set. - Choose the format. PDF.
- Tap Convert. The whole conversion runs on the device; a network makes no difference to it.
- Share it, or save it to Files. From here on it is an ordinary document that any other app can open.
What you get
- An outline built from your headings, so a reader can jump to a section from the sidebar of any PDF viewer.
- A page break between chapters when you add several files, in the order you set.
- Diagrams and equations drawn in, and code with its syntax colouring kept.
How a page is counted
The free allowance is twenty pages a month, and a page is 4,000 characters of Markdown. That figure was measured against this app's own PDF output rather than chosen, so the count you see is close to the pages you get.
Nothing you convert leaves the phone
The converter is inside the app and works with the network off. The privacy policy says the rest.
